NICOWA: The Schools Precepts

About NICOWA Schools

The acronym NICOWA means Nigerian Correctional Officers Wives Association. Just as the name suggests, it is a national association that comprises of all the wives of the personnel officers of Nigeria Correctional Service, formerly called Nigerian Prisons Service.
Nigeria Correctional officers Wives Association Schools Abuja (NICOWA) is founded by inexorable passion for education by the Prisons Officers Wives Association (PROWA), as being called before. This school was established on 14th January, 2013 as co-educational day school, with the ideology of uniting Nigerians, without any religious and ethnic bias, unfairness, or projudice, to meet educational demands of the staff of the Institution. Nigeria Correctional Service's personnel first, and of the people in the environ. The school is situated at Nigeria Correctional Service Head Quarters, No 5 Bill Clinton Drive, Airport Road, Abuja, FCT, Nigeria.

School Major Events

EXCURSION:

As part of our commitment to ensuring that our pupils/students are provided with the privilege to interact with real life situation and have first-hand experience, the school will embark on an excursion next term. This excursion will attract the sum of six thousand naira only (N6000).

INTER – HOUSE SPORT COMPETITION:

The competition promotes teamwork, discipline, sportsmanship, and healthy rivalry among students. Events usually include track and field races, ball games, march past, and fun activities. it helps students discover their talents, develop physical fitness, and build confidence.

PUBLIC SPEAKING/DEBATE:

Public speaking is the act of delivering a speech or presentation to an audience with the purpose of informing, persuading, or entertaining. Debate is a structured discussion where two or more people express different viewpoints on a specific topic.
